Project work in early childhood education: theoretical and practical approach
Main Article Content
Abstract
This paper presents a conceptual approach to the project as a working methodology in Early Childhood Education. It begins with a brief review about the background and emerging context as well as the authors considered precursors of project work. This leads us to define what today means talking about projects.
Once at the theoretical framework, it is analysed the practice of classroom projects in key elements as the criteria for choosing this methodology, the role of teachers, the organization of the learning environment (space and time), the materials and resources, and the role of play in them. It is also considered the organization in phases analyzing three proposals with different nuances, ending with a summing up as a synthesis of the work.
